It was the first major theatre to present work in the Hungarian language (Hungary being part of the Austrian Empire). The theatre opened in 1837 and remained a major cultural factor in Budapest until it was demolished in 1913. There is today a new National Theatre, which opened in 2002. Share signed by Földvary Gabor, prefect of Pest 1832-36, and president of the theatre and of this company, which operated the theatre. Arms of Hungary and Pest, in a delicate and border of flowers and leaves. An important early and historical significant share in Hungarian history.
