It acquired the property at Cleveland of the Glenn L. Martin Co., builders of Martin aircraft for the U.S. Army and Navy, plus a series of single and two-seat biplanes, beginning with the 2T-1A single-seater and including the TG-1 Torpedo bomber. Aircraft for non-military use also appeared - mail, express and passenger services, but 3/4 of sales were to the armed services. The company reappeared in the 1960s to build a sport trainer in scaled-down kit form. Fine vignette of one of the company's aircraft at an airfield, with crew and mechanics.
