The historical interest of this share is of course huge: it is the founder share of the first Panama canal company. Founded by Ferdinand de Lesseps in 1880 with a capital of 300 million francs. Only 9000 founder shares were issued. It is personally signed by Charles Aimé de Lesseps (1840-1923) as director, son of Ferdinand de Lesseps and in 1884, he became vice-chairman of the Panama Canal Company himself.
