STOCKHOLM. Actie. Serie A. black. No 139. Small edge-tear, repaired. One of the finest of the many early Swedish pieces with magnificent engravings. The line offered a steamer service from Stockholm to Westeras (today Västeras), using the steamers Gustaf Wasa, Westmanland and YngweFreij. The engraving shows the scene across the water from the quay at Riddarholm to the city of Stockholm, with the steamers sailing to and from the city, and passengers and merchandise waiting for the next ship. The view shows Eldkvarm, the Seraphim Hospital andKungsholm church. The large engraving is of the highest quality. Extremely rare.
