It was created as such in accordance with the Treaty of Versailles after the end of WWI. As security for the interestand amortization of this loan, the Free City of Danzig has charged the gross receipts of the State from the Tobacco Monopoly and in particular from the contract the State made with the Danziger Tabakmonopol AG. This top denomination is extremely early. We have never before been able to offer it. In excellent condition.
