BRUXELLES. Action de F500, printer proof. yellow, blue, black. No 5. The roots of this company go back to the 12th century when a religious order decided to construct a water mill, named Moulin de Bloqueau, plus a small farm in Chaumont-Gistoux (Corry-le-Grand). In 1828, Ferdinand Charles de Beeckman transformed the buildings into a paper mill. He sold it 30 years later to the Société de l'Union des Papeteries du Prince et du Pont d'Oye which became in 1883 l'Union des Papeteries. In the last quarter of the 19th century, the small company became an important cardboard company which continued to operate until 1971. Today, the surviving buildings have been transformed into a restaurant. While post WWII shares of this company are known, this printer proof is a unique part of the Imprimerie Bourlard archives.
