CONSTANTINOPLE. Bon de Jouissance. brown, green, black. No 1199. Folds, small edge-tears. Hole in the left frame. The company built a line from Eskisehir, on the Haydarpasha (opposite Constantinople) to Ankara line, to the southern city of Konya. After World War I, the railway was taken over by a consortium of English banks. Under the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, the shares held by German banks were auctioned to the highest bidder. Text in French and German on the front, also Turkish(Arabic scrip) on the back. This profit share is rare.
