Founded 1872 as successor company of the firm Killing & Sohn. The company produced railway wagons, but also military projectiles. It was part of the business empire of Heinrich Quistorp (1836-1902). When his bank (Vereinsbank Quistorp & Co.) came into financial difficulties, this Waggon-Fabrik became insolvent (1876). It was re-established by Fritz Killing and started to prosper as a major manufacturer of railway cars. Became part of Deutz AG in 1959. Only three pieces have been reported.
