From 1923 it was in effect the bank of the State of Baden. In 1931 the Deutsche Bank took a major interest in the Badische Bank. In 1932 it moved its base to Karlsruhe. In 1935 it lost its note-issuing privilege. After World War II it amalgamated with the Württembergische Notenbank AG to form today's Baden-Württembergische Bank AG. The fine design of this share, with symbols of the arts, industry, agriculture, and much else, is well-known to collectors.
