A financial company, created in 1922, in particular to deal in the shares and bonds of the Cie des Chemins de fer du Congo Supérieur aux Grands Lacs Africains. It had wide powers to operate in other sectors, and invested widely, mostly in Congo companies, but remained primarily a holding company. The principal promoter was the Banque Industrielle Belge, although the Empain brothers, the Société Générale and various Belgian railway interests were also participant.
