LIMA. 6% Bond of 100 Pesos. black. Folds with a few tiny holes. A contribution of 100 pesos towards a loan of 160.000 pesos from the "Junta General de Comercio", under a law of February 1821, to meet the costs of war. Lima was at this time still under Spanish control, and was not liberated by San Martin's army until June. The bond does provide for interest to be paid, but it seems unlikely that this ever happened, by the incoming Peruvian government.
