7,25 Bond of $1000, specimen. green, black. Printed by Thomas de la Rue Ltd in London. Vignette shows the two sides of the globe and a statue of a Roman emperor, we believe it to be Julius Caesar. The Italian Investment Credit Institute (IMI) was founded 1931 and played an important role in dealing with the economic and financial crisis in the early 1930s by issuing long term bonds to finance the Italian industry. Played a similar role after WWII and continued financing industry, and research & development projects in later years. Merged with Sanpaola in 1998, now Inesa Sanpaolo.
