Lotnumber: 1091
BRUXELLES. Action Privilégiée de F300, specimen. green, black. #4000. Underprint of a horse-tramway. The company was founded 1881 by the Paris-based Belgian businessman Auguste Charles. The first line opened the same year. Electrification followed in 1897 and several new lines throughout the city were opened in the late 1890s and early 1900s. By 1930, the company operated 17 lines. However, competition from buses became a real problem for the company, and it had to close in 1935. Not known by us as issued piece and this unissued specimen is very rare indeed.
