DUBLIN. Annuity of £100. black. No 633. Folds and small splits, a little staining in the left border. In 1773-4 His Britannic Majesty's Treasury for Ireland was authorised to raise money by the sale of annuities ; this is one of them. The capital of £100 earned an annual payment of £6. The annuity was issued to Jane Knipe, eldest daughter of Robert Knipe Esq., a Russia merchant and director of the London Assurance Corp. The interest payments to 1824 are inscribed on the reverse. Must be among the oldest Irish scripophily.
