CRONBERG. Antheil-Schein von 200 Mark. green, black. No 180. Central fold, with small repaired edge-split. Large format with beautiful, delicate border. Founded 1900 by the family de Ridder for the construction of buildings in the town of Cronberg, at the foot of the Taunus in Hesse. Kronberg is especially known for its extremely expensive residential areas ; according to 'der Spiegel' Kronberg has the most expensive residential areas in all of Germany. Issued to Frau Louise de Ridder (1890-1967), surely an offspring of August de Ridder (1837-1911) who lived in Kronberg and was member of the board of Farbwerke vorm. Meister Lucius & Brüning AG, later Hoechst AG/Aventis SA/Celanese AG. There is still a 'De-Ridder-Strasse' in Kronberg today. Only 3 pieces known to us.
