BRUXELLES. Coupure d'Action de F100. black, buff. #3000. No 1571. The source, at Sanem, SW of Luxembourg city, was discovered in 1891 and two years later, this company was founded to commercialize its water. The firm sold the water as a table, and a medical product, also lemonades. With a debit of 300.000 liter/day and a constant water temperature of 10°C., business quickly boomed. In 1893, 30.000 bottles were sold, by 1925 the number had increased to 2 million bottles a year! In between, this 'old' company was being replaced by the S.A. générale des eaux minérales de Bel-Val (instead of 'soc. fermière'), shares of which we have offered before. The production was halted in 1935 and the premises were taken-over by Arbed. This type is very rare.
