76 SEINE-MARITIME. PARIS. 5 Actions de F500. black on blue paper. No 5051. Company founded 1845 with a capital of 18 million francs to build a railroad between the fishing ports of Fécamp and Dieppe (both in Normandy). Dieppe was also the main port through which English coal was imported, and halfway the shortest route betweenParis and London. By 1847, the railroad has reached Beuzeville (starting in Dieppe). The last part of the traject, Beuzeville - Fécamp - could not be realised due to financial difficulties. The company was merged with two other railroad companies into theC.D.F. de l'Ouest in 1855. Together, they link Paris to the cities at the Normandy coast (Paris - Rouen - Le Havre and Dieppe). This early share is extremely rare. Issued to the Marquis de Massa.
